Mobile space gets thicker

Since Apple released the iPad, sales have been brisk. While the UX on an iPad is much different from a smartphone, it is still technically a "mobile" device. Just today, Microsoft announced that it is getting serious in the tablet space. We should expect several manufacturers including Asus, Dell, Samsung, Toshiba and Sony to launch Windows 7-based tablets soon. Notably absent from this list was HP who recently acquired Palm. By the end of the year, we expect tablet-based devices from Android and HP/Palm as well. We expect all platforms to make significant announcements in the next month. Stay tuned...
