Android passes iPhone Traffic? Really?

AdMob's recently released March, 2010 USA statistics show that Android's share of smartphone traffic surpassed iPhone's for the first time. Android came in at 46% of traffic, up from 42% in February, while iPhone traffic fell from 45% to 39%.

Our own traffic analysis tell a totally different story. Based on preliminary analysis of traffic to moBistro's mobile websites (March 1 thru April 27), traffic from iPhones is at 61% compared to Android's 18%. While Android is gaining ground, it is nowhere near what AdMob is reporting.
